What You Didn’t Know About the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History

museum studies exhibit

Did you know that everything in the Sam Noble Museum of Natural History is from Oklahoma?

“There is almost no natural history museum that can take only materials from its geographic area and tell the story of life.”

We can.

The 198,000 square foot facility houses more than 4 billion years of natural history, all from the state of Oklahoma. Its five galleries feature thousands of artifacts that visitors can use to immerse themselves in the natural and cultural history of the region. And, as always, OU students can visit them for free with a student ID.

Latest Exhibits

Have you visited the museum before but want to see something new? The Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History is currently hosting several special exhibits that are only there for a limited time. Don’t miss your chance to see these amazing pieces of the world!
