Feaver-MacMinn 2013 Public Lecture – The Dust Bowl: Behind the Scenes of Ken Burn’s Latest Film

2013 Feaver-MacMinn Dust Bowl

The upcoming annual Feaver-MacMinn 2013 Public Lecture will feature award-winning writer and documentary filmmaker Dayton Duncan presenting a behind-the-scenes look at his latest collaborative film entitled, The Dust Bowl. For a quarter century Duncan has worked with Ken Burns on some of the most-watched PBS films in history including Lewis and Clark and The National Parks: America’s Best Idea. As the writer and producer, Duncan will provide a behind-the-scenes commentary on the making of the film, show some excerpts, and engage in a question- and-answer session about this important and often overlooked moment in history.

The public lecture will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at 4:30 p.m. in the Robert S. Kerr Auditorium located in the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History in Norman.

Sponsored by The University of Oklahoma College of Liberal Studies, this lecture is free and open to the public.
