The Integrating Primary and Behavioral Health Care through the Lens of Prevention conference, hosted by OU Outreach’s Southwest Prevention Center (SWPC), is coming to Fort Worth, Texas June 27 to 30. Now in its second year, the conference addresses issues of and best practices for improving behavioral and primary health care by integrating prevention across public, private, and community sectors.

Attendees of the conference will learn from leaders in the fields of prevention, primary care, and behavioral healthcare. The conference will feature several plenary sessions, panel discussions, and workshops concentrating on four tracks: policy initiatives; clinical practice; administration and implementation; and research, evaluation, and education. Within these tracks, topics to be explored include promoting conditions and plans that improve quality of life, how to best meet the needs of diverse populations, essentials for training future providers, and measuring the benefits of newly developed paradigms.

This year, the conference is being held at the Sheraton Fort Worth Downtown Hotel and rooms can be booked through the conference website. Conference registration is $525 and includes all three days of conference programming, materials, and food functions. On-site registration is available for $700 and group rates are available until June 5.

The Southwest Prevention Center’s mission is to “be a dynamic resource dedicated to building safe and healthy communities through shared knowledge, skill, and capacity development.”
